Description

Aria Pro II RS Special-V Black Matsumoku SN2121466

This Aria Pro II RS Special V in black is a rugged, road-scarred axe with true stage cred. Built during the early ’80s in Japan under the Matsumoku umbrella, the RS line was one of Aria’s higher end product line. The “Special V” designation gives this guitar a subtly aggressive character without going full “flying V” theatrics — its body shape and neck design blend modern flair with classic ergonomics. A 1982 example of the model lists alder as the body wood, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. The neck profile is described as a slender “V” style.

This particular guitar shows its history in every ding, scratch, and buckle rash — there’s no hiding that it’s seen many lights and racks. The fretboard is in great shape: clean, smooth, and ready for action. The frets have been polished, the neck and body fully checked over, and new strings fitted. It’s ready to rock out again — no hidden surprises. In its time, Aria Pro II built a strong reputation for punching above its price class. Their guitars from the Matsumoku era are well regarded for having solid construction, good necks, and potential for tasteful upgrades.
