The DSL401 is part of Marshall’s iconic Dual Super Lead series, and despite its modest size, it delivers the dynamic response and tonal authority you’d expect from a much larger amplifier. It features two fully independent channels: a clean channel that remains articulate and rich at higher volumes, and a versatile overdrive channel with OD1 and OD2 modes. OD1 delivers classic Marshall crunch, while OD2 introduces an additional 20 dB of gain for high-output saturation—ideal for leads or heavier modern tones.

Tonally, the amp offers outstanding clarity and depth. The clean channel takes pedals beautifully, and the overdrive has the signature Marshall roar that cuts through any mix. A built-in studio-grade spring reverb adds natural ambience, and the speaker-emulated DI output allows for silent recording or direct PA connection without compromising tone. The parallel effects loop with mix control ensures seamless integration of modulation or delay effects.

This combo is equipped with a 12-inch Celestion speaker and driven by four EL84 power tubes and four ECC83 (12AX7) preamp tubes.
