Grand Suzuki Super Sounds Japan Neck Through 1970’s

This Grand Suzuki Super Sounds guitar from the late 1970s is a rare and seriously underrated vintage instrument with features that set it right in line with the Greco’s and Tokai’s from that era. Built with a neck-through-body construction—almost unheard of for this model—it offers incredible sustain and resonance, making it a standout both in tone and craftsmanship.

The guitar has two humbuckers, both of which can be split into single coils or out of phase. With just a single volume and two tone knobs, the control layout is simple but powerful, letting you dial in anything from classic rock crunch to spanky funk tones and everything in between. Playability is a dream thanks to its relatively thin neck, which feels fast and smooth. The frets are in near-new condition and the fingerboard has a vintage-style radius—likely around 7.25” or perhaps even flatter.

Weighing in at only 3.3kg, it’s lightweight and well-balanced, making it just as heavy as a semi hollow, wow! Cosmetically, it shows some buckle wear, mainly on the sides and just under one of the tone knobs. The rare headstock shape is the final touch that makes this already exceptional guitar something truly unique.
